Boom!

GeneralPosted by R.A. Paauwe 06 Mar, 2009 17:54:29
So.. Quick update again, this week turned out quite to be awesome, against all odds. Breakthrough in design, major progression in the process. I'm well pleased with final result, even though it took AGES to get it sorted. 3D Modelling is up now, and even Engineering itself is lurking at the doorstep. Win!

As a second bit, I'll restructure my daily schedule, and have some better time management, as at this point things are a bit too much of chaos and lack of control. From now on Tuesdays from now on will be solely spend on music and art, and personal creative developing, as I've been slacking greatly the past couple of months. Presumably, that time will expand if it works out. More structure, dedication and silly awesomeness. Promise!

That'll be a oneway ticket to slavemarkets of west-Nigeria for you! Kthxbye!

The Struggle

GamesPosted by R.A. Paauwe 16 Feb, 2009 18:20:29

Wow, what a night it had been. After three -maybe- four weeks of struggling on Thaddius (Naxxramas 25), the Children of Hyjal finally nailed him. Thirty-million hitpoints down the drain, bitch! Great team effort, of all 25 people. Sapphiron got slaughtered quickly on our second attempt ever, and I am pretty confident Kel'Thuzad will get his ass spanked tonight. It's beena great experience, main-tanking the three bosses, but the real deal was the cheer of 25 friends on Ventrilo, after doing some serious epic shit. Close to our first Kael'Thas kill, I'd say. And that was one of the best gaming moments. Ever.

God. Origin of Species (by means of natural selection, or the preservation of favoured races in the struggle of life) couldn't be less interesting to read.

Escaping the Eye

Friday afternoon. Thank the Lord. Another bombshell hit the floor. Several bombshells to be precise. Things aren't going as sleek as they are supposed to past weeks. Not going to pass any judgement, or express any bold statements. For the time being that is. But I do have a  feeling what is going wrong.

Strangest thing, the relationship between colleagues.  These people are part of my life for approximately 40 hours a week. Yet we have little in common. Different social interests, ambition, capacity and view on life in general. Devoid of previous mentioned I could possibly mean.

So. I spend over 40% of my awake time with these people, who in my private life, have no meaning. Doesn't that strike you as odd? Okay, I am a bit selective about my friends, but I am pretty open towards any kind of people.

And then they leave. Fired. Contract break. Unfortunate circumstances. Bad timing. Whatever you want to call it. Poof, from one day to the next. You'll never ever hear from them again. Do I regret? No. Not at all. Do I think it is weird, and unusual to have people you spend time with the most (by will or not), disappearing the quickest.

Have a good weekend!

366 days

Exactly one year has passed since I came back from Hong Kong, Asia (though to be precise, from my holiday to Beijing I had after Hong Kong). Over six months of incredible experience. It almost seems like a dream. I miss it, I really do. Neon, the food, Jackie Chan, the streets. I'd take the overwork for granted again.

A lot happened since that day. Graduated, work, life, numerous to count. Just a brief reflection that I had good year. Did a lot, saw a lot. Learned a even more. Life's been good, life's been hectic, ridiculously busy as usual. Will try to make more time for things. Keep in touch~

Doomsday

2nd of February. Judgement, day of ordeal, trial by fire. Deadline. Time to catch my breath. The admission has been on the mail for the past week and should be in time. Thank goodness. Deadline #2 coming up. As Jay-Z would state; "Time to crack open the can again." On a brighter note, the majority of things have been done, and it is time to get a few things going. Let's just say I'm trying to redirect some of my little spare time.

But now, time to relax. Heard this for the first time this week. Absolutely amazing. Definitely getting the album soon. Enjoy!
